E Division supplied the ship with light and power and maintained and repaired electrical apparatus and outlets. The E Division Officer from 1972 to 1973 was Lt. George M. Collins. Electrical Log, ca. November 1967; August 2–December 29, 1972

Scope and Contents

The Electrical Log is a complete daily record for the ship’s service generator. Entries for the prime movers are recorded by the generator watch (MM). Electrical data are recorded by the switchboard watch (EM). The accuracy of the entries is checked by the EM in charge of the ship’s service generators. Both M and E Division Officers check the record for accuracy and any evidence of impending casualties. Also included in this sub-series are sample and blank log sheets.
